Psytrance festivals 2027: the full calendar, month by month

As of late October 2026, 16 festivals in our guide have confirmed dates in 2027. The summer peak runs from Burning Mountain in Switzerland (24–27 June) to Own Spirit in Spain (1–6 September), with Boom (18–25 July) and Ozora (23 July – 3 August) in the middle.

Below you find every psychedelic festival with a 2027 date, month by month, then the active festivals that have not announced dates yet and a short note on the ones on pause. We update this calendar as dates are announced.

January to March: southern summer and Easter

January. Universo Paralello on Praia de Pratigi in Bahia starts on 27 December 2026 and runs until 4 January 2027. It takes place every two years. Two days later, on 6 January, Sola Luna holds a one-day Waterfall Festival on Koh Phangan, after cancelling its usual New Year beach edition in Khanom. More on our January page.

February. No confirmed dates yet. HillTop in Vagator, Goa, usually runs in early February.

March. A busy month. Rainbow Spirit, the former Rainbow Serpent, runs 5–8 March near Tallarook in Victoria; psytrance is one of three stages there. Tribal Gathering on Panama's Caribbean coast lasts 18 days (5–22 March) and starts as an indigenous immersion; its psytrance stage, the Lotus Stage, runs mainly in the second week. In Brazil, Flor da Vida celebrates its tenth anniversary on 13–14 March at Fazenda Meia Lua in Itirapina. Rabbits Eat Lettuce closes the month over Easter, 25–29 March, near Texas, Queensland, with psytrance as one strand among house, techno and bass. See all of them on our March page.

April and May. No confirmed 2027 dates in our guide yet.

June and July: the European season opens

June. Burning Mountain opens the European summer on 24–27 June at around 1,500 metres beside the Inn river in Zernez, Graubünden. Progressive and full-on on a Funktion-One system, with a kids' area and a healing area. More on our June page.

July. The densest month of the year. Ethereal Decibel, a non-profit festival in a 64-hectare park in Normandy, runs 1–4 July with progressive, darkpsy and techno. Masters of Puppets follows on 5–11 July, a week of darkpsy, hi-tech and forest that moves to a new site in Valeč, western Bohemia, for 2027. VooV Experience, running since 1991, is on 16–19 July in Putlitz, Brandenburg.

Boom celebrates 30 years on 18–25 July by the lake in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal. Reports say all ticket categories are sold out. Ozora starts on 23 July and runs twelve days until 3 August at Dádpuszta in Hungary. The two overlap from 23 to 25 July. If you missed Boom, our July page lists the alternatives.

August and September: forest weeks and late-summer open airs

August. Mo:Dem runs 2–8 August in the woods near Primišlje, Croatia, with dark psychedelic trance and swimming in the Mrežnica river. Its tickets are personalised and non-transferable. New Healing in the Prignitz, Brandenburg, is a healing and wellness week on 9–15 August; the electronic floors run mainly at the weekend, and the share of psytrance is unclear. Indian Spirit in Eldena, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, closes the German summer on 25–30 August with six stages; its presale has been open since 1 September 2026. More on our August page.

September. Own Spirit runs 1–6 September on the Santa Ana reservoir near Baldellou, Aragon: full-on, progressive, goa and forest, plus a healing area and a family zone. Details on our September page.

October to December. No confirmed 2027 dates yet.

These festivals are active but had not published 2027 dates as of October 2026. Where our records name a usual month, we give it.

• Baobá (Brazil): early May.
• Yanomami (Brazil): no fixed rhythm; last edition 20–21 June 2026.
• S.U.N. Festival (Hungary): July.
• Terratronic (Brazil): irregular; last edition July 2026.
• Hadra Trance Festival (France): late August.
• WAO (Italy): August.
• Spirit Rio (Brazil): anniversary edition in August or September.
• Earthdance Cape Town (South Africa): September.
• Transition (Spain): late September in 2026, early May before that; an early-bird presale opened on 14 October 2026.
• Dragon Dreaming (Australia): late September or early October; 2027 tickets are reportedly on sale.

• Earth Frequency (Australia): moved to late October in 2026; not confirmed as permanent.
• Twilight (South Africa): runs about twice a year; next confirmed edition 27–29 November 2026.
• High Nature (Brazil): December.
• Vortex Open Source (South Africa): December.
• ZNA Gathering (Portugal): every two years; last edition July 2026.

On pause or uncertain

A few well-known names are not on the 2027 calendar. Antaris Project has been paused since founder Uwe Siebert died in March 2025. Shankra cancelled 2024, 2025 and 2026. Psy-Fi cancelled 2025 and has announced nothing since. Esoteric was cancelled the night before opening in 2025. Hai in den Mai did not take place in 2026, and its future is unclear.

The status of Noisily (2025 cancelled), Eclipse (last edition 2022), Freedom (last edition 2019), Labyrinth (2025 edition cancelled) and Woodstoock & Tríade Trance (no edition found after 2023) is unknown.

How to plan your 2027

Sell-outs come early now. Boom 2027 was reported sold out more than half a year ahead, and Dragon Dreaming and Psyfly both sold out in 2026. If a festival is high on your list, follow its official channels and buy when sales open.

Buy only through the official ticket shop. Some festivals, like Mo:Dem, personalise tickets and refuse entry if the name does not match. Check what your ticket covers too: camping is included at most of the week-long festivals above, but not everywhere.

FAQ

What are the biggest psytrance festivals in 2027?

Boom (sold out at around 40,000 people in 2025), Ozora (attendance put at around 30,000) and Indian Spirit (one report counted about 25,000 guests in 2026). Universo Paralello in Brazil, with estimates of 24,000 to more than 30,000, runs into January 2027.

When is Ozora 2027?

From 23 July to 3 August 2027, twelve days at Dádpuszta near Ozora, Hungary.

Is Boom Festival 2027 sold out?

According to reports, all ticket categories for Boom 2027 (18–25 July) are sold out. Check boomfestival.org/tickets for the current status.

Which psytrance festivals take place in Germany in 2027?

VooV Experience (16–19 July), New Healing (9–15 August) and Indian Spirit (25–30 August). Hai in den Mai and Antaris have no 2027 dates.
