Yanomami Festival: psytrance open air in Itirapina, Brazil

Yanomami Festival is a psytrance rave in São Paulo state. The format is compact: two days of dancing in the open air on rural land, with a mostly Brazilian crowd. We could not find a fixed rhythm to its editions. Itirapina hosted it in June 2018 and again in June 2026, and other editions have taken place elsewhere, including a New Year's edition at Ilha Solteira in 2019/20 and one in Sumaré.

The 2026 edition took place at Fazenda Meia Lua (fazenda means farm) in Itaqueri da Serra, in the municipality of Itirapina, São Paulo state. The dance floor is open air on rural land. Reaching the site takes a little planning, as it lies outside town. June is winter in the southern hemisphere.

The focus is psytrance across a wide range. Past line-ups, for example in 2018, covered goa, full-on, progressive, darkpsy and hi-tech. In 2026, Infected Mushroom were on the bill. The line-up changes with each edition, so check event listings for the next one.

The crowd is mostly local, and the atmosphere is social. If you travel from abroad, some Portuguese helps. We could not confirm an official website or social account for 2026, so event platforms such as PLUR station and Bandsintown are the best places to look for announcements.

Itirapina is reached by road, and a car gives you the most flexibility. For the 2026 edition, the excursion operator GoodVibesTour offered a shuttle to the festival. Before the next edition, check whether a similar option is available.
