About Psychedelic Island

Psychedelic Island is an independent guide to psytrance festivals around the world. Behind it is Andy, a long-time psytrance fan who lives in São Paulo and has danced at festivals in Germany, Hungary, Spain and Rio de Janeiro.

What you find here

Every festival page brings together dates, location, travel, tickets and the character of the event: which music, which crowd, how remote, how expensive. Where I have been myself, I say so. Where I have not, I write as an observer and say what I would check before booking.

How the information is checked

Dates, venues, prices and status come from official festival websites, ticket shops and reliable press. When a festival is cancelled, moves or pauses, the page says so plainly, and the home page lists the most recent changes. Things that cannot be confirmed are left out or marked as uncertain.

Independent

Festivals cannot buy a place or a better review on this site. If this site ever earns money from links, those links will be marked.

What keeps me coming back to these festivals is simple: the music, the dancing and the people around you.
